Creative Blog Hop!!!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Today I have a special post for one of my very talented crafty friend....ISHA.

She tagged me last week for a Creative Blog Hop ...you can see it HERE.

Isha is super sweet person and amazing papercrafter, she asked to join in for this hop, so I'm here . 

Writing is not my favorite thing , so I'll keep it short.

I have to answer 4 questions and here they are..

1. What am I working on?

I'm currently working on some card samples for Art Impressions Stamps...love their new stamps!!

I'm also getting ready to start my 2014 holiday card making ...and working on few cards for a upcoming new DT ( Sorry!I can't spill the beans yet.)

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Ok!! Here comes the TRICK question. I don't have a Signature style, so I'm not sure if my work is very different from others. I create in all styles..I love to follow new trends, try out new techniques.  My style has definitely evolved , its quite different than what it was 5 years ago.

My most favorite style is simple and simple cards with lots of White.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

I love HANDMADE stuff. I like to give handmade gifts...thats how I started making cards. Now its my favorite hobby. I also make quilts, jewelry and now scrapbook layouts too.

4. How does your writing/creative process work?

I find my inspirations from the products. I try to follow latest trends.When I want to create something I just sit with the stamps and papers...stare at them for a while and then slowly the design comes to my mind.

Ok! I might have bored you all a lot with all these Q/A...now here is a card..

Its a fun thing I love doing...Stencils and doodling!

I used Heidi Swapp -Butterfly Layered stencil and Distress inks.

Then doodled over it with copic Multiliner pen.

Heat embossed the sentiment from Papertrey ink with WOW embossing powder.

Amy is one of my most Favorite paper crafter ....she is the sweetest person ever! Amy has a big contribution in what I'm as a crafter today. In 2009 I started blogging and playing with challenges . Amy was in 365 cards challenge DT back then , I used play regularly, she used visit my blog everyday and leave the sweet comments. She always encouraged me !!!

The next crafty friend is from the other side  of the globe.

Hussena from India!

She is from my hometown, unfortunately we never met in person.

When I was in India in 2011-13 , I virtually meet her thru the blogland .

She is a very talented paper crafter and a very sweet person!

She is one of the few person who visits my blog regularly and leaves lovely comments.

I have so many crafters on my mind but all seems to be super busy at this time.

I have one more person to mention....

She is my migrating crafty friend....whom I love a lot and I wish to be like her when I GROW UP in this crafty world.

She is KAROLYN !!!

Now let me tell u why I call her my MIGRATING friend...she lives in Washington for the whole Summer and migrates to Arizona in winter....how fun is that!!!!

She is AH-MAZING papercrafter... you should see her die cutting skills, she works MAGIC with the dies..traditional and digital!

You must have seen her work in Papercrafts Magazine...she gets published a lot!.

As Karolyn just moved to AZ she won't able to join in for the hop now...but I would love,if all just visit her blog and say hi!

PTI Feb 2014 Bloghop!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Today I'm joining in for the PTI Feb2014 Bloghop.

I've a super busy day ahead, so I made a quick card before I hit the road.

Love the new PTI goodies...didn't wanna miss the chance to play with them.

This month's theme is ... SWEET SPRING.

I would like to apologize in advance for the poor photography, my camera went bad, I'm using my iphone for the time being.

The card is very shiny in real...

I used the new PTI Garden Grace stamp set....its super easy to layer & stamp.

That set is great for quick stamping...so detailed yet easy to stamp!!!!

 

I used Heidi Swapp's Butterfly stencil as a mask and sponged the area with Distress ink...then stamped the floral image over it.

Its kind of like vintage postcard look...

 As you all know I'm totally into gold trend now...so added few splatters of Heidi Swapp Gold color shine...love that stuff!!!

Also added a bit of vellum and gold glitter paper ...and some stitching.

A crafty Afternoon...

 Happy Earth Day!!!
Hope you all lots of plan for the Easter weekend!!
Today the girls are home for Good Friday....so spent a little time in my craftroom! Most of the time went on finding things in those boxes....
Okay!! Lets start with this girlie card...


I used PTI~ Make It Monday technique, Card Patterns Sketch and Embellish Crochet Trim colors for this card... all three Fab challenges in one!!
All products are from PTI...except the Prima flowers, a strip  of My Mind's Eye~ Stella & Rose paper ,twine and blings.
The pearls &  rhinestones are from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Next one is for Tiffany's Sketch challenge...its the last week's sketch.

The lovely color combo is from Heather's Totally Hues#6 challenge.

Hello Everyone!!
A quick post today!! My mom is in and out of the hospital lately ...for surgery, dialysis and much more. I made a bunch of thank you cards for her to give to care givers , Doctors and all...
Made 12 of them...very Simple..

I really wanted to try out Kissing technique with woodgrain and Damask stamps...and I love how it turned out!

I used all PTI products ....I justed added one of my favorite product~ the Frosted pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty for a little sparkle.

Sorry for the poor photography I really need to get a white light soooon!!

Today is the last day for Card Sets Challenge in the Moxie Fab World ...so I thought of entering this lil' set too!

Happy Sunday!! Its time for the yummy treat...

Cupcake Inspiration challenge, CIC#60

Here is my card for this delicious inspiration..

I've used some of my new craft goodies...Cosmo Cricket ~ Delovely papers and EK Success big scallop border punch. What you think of the flower???

Its my 1st time making this ribbon flower....basically cut out the circles out of satin ribbon and the seal the edges by carefully moving it around the candle flame...layer it ..DONE!!

The butterfly die is from PTI...embossed it with Sizzix embossing folder..love it!

I've the stamped the cardbase with Unity stamp...now here is I need some help from you all..

I'm not happy with the Staz-on white ink I use..do you have any suggestion for the white ink..any  particular brand you like..Please let me know I'd love to try some new ones.

Hello Everyone!!

A quick post ...two cards for few Fabulous challenges....

CheckTHIS out .....this card was one the Cards Blog top picks today....

The color inspiration is from Moxie Fab world~ color play ...I tried to match as close as possible..I didn't have exact cardstocks....

 Handfull of Stamps: Polka dots..

I just finished it this morning but I couldn't post it ... had to run to doctors :(  I used Papertrey Ink... Polka dot Basics II stamp set and the HEART is from Hero Arts.

Now on to the next one....

As you all can see I'm enjoying my new Hero Arts stamps..ABC Crafts and Toys have a great collection of New Hero Arts stamps. I don't get new release HA stamps here in my local stores...this is my frist time got them as soon as they were released..love them..
