CardMaker Magazine - Inchie Arts Blog Hop!!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!!

Welcome to CardMaker Magazine - Inchie Arts blog hop!!!
If you are not familiar with Art Squares , you can check it out here.

I'm using Inchie Arts art squares for the first time...this stuff is absolutely amazing.
They are precision cut matboard in variety of sizes...like 1", 2" , 3" & 4".
They are like mini canvases to me.

The theme for the hop is FALL.
I love fall colors!!!

I used 3" Art square for my first card...
As I mentioned its like a mini canvas.
I stamped the card base using Hero Arts leaves stamp with white ink.
Then created my focal art square.
I used Gelatos and layer of stamping and stenciling for the background. Then added few diecut leaves( cut using Lawn Fawn dies and glitter paper, vellum and balsa wood).
For my sentiment I used a flair.
I love how this card turned out!!

This card is for the following challenges...
Simon Says Stamp : Use Watercolors.
Great Impressions - - Autumnal Elegance.

Next card set is using 2" art squares...
These 2" art squares were perfect for my 4 x 4 thank you card set.
Clean and simple... just heat embossed the sentiment with white and various leaves with gold, then sponged some distress ink over it. Also added few white ink splatters.
All stamps are from Paper Smooches.
This card set will make a perfect gift!!

Here are the photo of individual cards...

This card set is for the following challenges...
CASology: Splatters.
Paper Smooches Sparks: Anything Goes.

My last card is using 1" art squares..also known as Inchies...

Really these art squares are super fun to work with!!!
For this card I heat embossed the background using Hero Arts stamp and white embossing powder.
Then I heat embossed few inchies with the same stamp and white EP.
Colored the Inchies with distress ink and waterbrush.
Adhere them randomly on the cardfront.  Added some gold splatters ,gold enamel dots & rhinestones.
The sentiment is from Casual Fridays stamps.

I'm still here...slowly recovering after surgery. By next week I should back to my normal schedule.
I just got the cutest package from Mama Elephant Stamps , so quickly whipped up a sweet card.

Please ignore the bad photography, I really can't go up & down stairs much and there is not great lighting in my room.
In My Heart set is super cute!!!
The set comes with different sentiments but I wanted to make cute baby girl card so I used the banner and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn stamps.
A CAS card with a bit of  Gelato wash background!
This card is for the following challenges...
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes.
Sisterhood of Crafters  - Monochromatic.
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything goes.

Watercolor Fun!!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Water-coloring is very trendy nowadays!! Its super easy and super fun to do.
There is no strict rules to follow or lots of blending to do or special/expensive supplies need for water coloring.
Actually you can use any watercolor...like cheap kiddie ones, simple water color pencils, Gelatos, Aquarelle pencils, Inktense pencils, distress markers, distress paints...pretty much anything water soluble and colorful.
Okay!! I'm not a PRO but I like trying new trends.

Now here are the results of my fun watercoloring evening...

I used THIS Art Impression stamp set for this card....simply colored it with water and Inktense pencils.

This card is for the following challenges...
Cards For Men: Animals.
Pause, Dream, Enjoy: Outdoor critters.

Next...
I used Inktense pencils again..
I used the SAME Ai stamp set for this card.
Easy peasy coloring...just added a anchor charm with May Arts Jute twine.

This card is for the following challenges...

 Retro sketches: Sketch #61.
Cupcake Craft : Water/sea.
Amusing Challenges: Anything goes.

...now for the last card I used  Faber-Castell- Aquarelle pencils.
This card is done a bit differently...usually I stamp and then color but here I colored the spots where I want to stamp first and them stamped with coordinating inks.
Just wanted to try out some new ways ;)
The stamp set is from Wplus9.

This card is for the following challenges...
Design Memory Craft: Inspired by gardens.
Critter Sketch:Flowers.
Get Inky!: Floral fun.

All the 3 watercolored cards are for MOXIE FAB WORLD-Wonder of WATERCOLOR challenge too!!!

Did I mention that my Camera broke... Super sad!!!
The lens won't move, I love it , its simple one and I've been using it for 4 years now.
Now I've to take pics with my iphone..until I get it fixed.
iphone is good but not the best for card pics.
What do you think the pics are OKAY?????

Check out the fun post on Coloring...Coloring Outside the Lines!!!
